Early Intervention for Children with Autism

Building Bridges Community Support is pleased to be able to offer early intervention services to children who live with autism spectrum disorder. Qualified Behaviour Interventionists work one-to-one with preschool-aged children to support them to develop the skills they will need to be successful in school and the community. The focus of early intervention includes: communication, social skills, daily living skills, gross and fine motor skills, behaviour support, and academic skills.

Children will have the opportunity to work one-to-one with the Interventionist and participate in group activities.

Working in conjunction with a Behavioural Consultant, Speech and Language Pathologist, Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist, the Interventionist implements the Behavioural Plan of Care for each child.

Hours of intervention are designed to meet the needs of the children and their families. This service can be funded through Autism Funding or parental funding.
